Don’t be fooled into thinking that this tutorial only focuses on how to extend your eyeliner.

Let’s take a closer look at where Won Young’s eye ends (A) and where her eyeliner stops (B). It’s important to note that her eyeshadow goes all the way to the end of her eyeliner, instead of stopping at her actual eyes. This technique can also be used for her aegyo-sal makeup!

This visual illusion plays with our perception, creating the illusion that her eyes end where the extended eyeliner does, resulting in a magnifying effect.

Step 1: Blend Eyeshadow to the End of Your Eyeliner

Start by extending the tail of your eyeliner. Then, effortlessly blend your eyeshadow across the entire span of your eyeliner on both your upper and lower lids.

Jen chooses a lovely warm apricot-brown shade that complements her undertone, serving as the base eyeshadow to highlight her eyes.

Step 2: Extend Your Aegyo-sal and Double Eyelid Crease

To create your aegyo-sal, those cute little pockets of fat under your eyes, stand out even more, why not try using a light brown eyeshadow? Gently apply it to extend the aegyo-sal towards the outer corner of your eyeliner, following the natural shape of your eyes for a more subtle effect.

If your aegyo-sal isn’t very noticeable, you can create the illusion by slightly squinting your eyes and drawing a line below the center. Gradually extend the line outward and upward, until it reaches close to the ends of your eyeliner.

To complete the look, use the same brown eyeshadow to extend your double eyelid crease parallel to the eyeliner. This will give your eyes more depth and dimension.

Step 3: Draw Your Bottom Lash Line

For a more cohesive look, experiment with a natural orange-brown gel liner to accentuate your lower lash line.

Begin from the outer edge of your upper eyeliner and carefully follow the curve of your lower lashes, leaving a slight space underneath.

Once you reach the center of your lash line, pause and softly blend the gel liner using a brush for a more subtle effect.

Step 4: Focus Mascara on the Ends of Your Eyes

To achieve a gorgeous fan-like look, pay special attention to your outer lashes while applying mascara. Moreover, for added definition, you can try applying individual eyelashes to the outer corners of your eyes.

Step 5: Wear Enlarging Lenses

Take a look at the amazing change in Jen’s eyes! Even though she used the same length of eyeliner, one side of her eyes appears much larger than the other!

You can further enhance this effect by wearing enlarging lenses, especially if your pupils seem smaller in comparison to the new size of your eyes.
