TikTok seems come up with a new skin trend every week and we are on top of it to give you the latest details.
Now, get ready for the coolest (and possibly strangest) skin trend of them all. It’s time to add the “vampire skin” trend to your to-try list.
When you think of vampires, a pale ghostly creature may come to mind but this skin trend has nothing to do with your typical masters of the night.
Instead, we’re trying to achieve the same look as the vampires from popular book and film franchise, Twilight.
For those of you who aren’t Twilight fans, the vampires in this franchise glow in the sun instead of bursting into flames like what we know of classic vampires.
In light of Halloween, TikTok user @imonaugust replicated this glittery skin with makeup. The result? An ethereal look with a gorgeous glow that can be worn all year long. After his video went viral, everyone has been dying to try this look out for themselves.
Read on to see how you can get this shimmery look.
How to get “vampire skin”
- Use a hydrating primer as a base (we’ll give you some recommendations later on!) This primer should give you a natural sheen that will add to your glow that comes from the glitter.
- Mix your foundation with a cream glitter product. You can pour the two products onto a plastic plate or just on the back of your hand.
- Apply this like you would a foundation. You can choose to use a makeup sponge, brush, or your fingers – whichever you prefer.
- For an extra glittery look, dust on pressed or loose glitter. If you don’t have any, consider using glitter eyeshadow instead. You can apply this to the facial features you’d like to highlight, for example, your nose bridge, cheekbones, and cupid’s bow.
- Lastly, use a body glitter and sweep it over your arms, neckline, and even your legs for an all-over glow, from head to toe.
It’s as simple as that! You’ll get a look that’s similar to this:
