Here are your zodiac sign’s lucky colours; plan your CNY makeup looks with this guide

Even if you don’t believe in geomancy (feng shui), finding out what your “lucky” colours are can be a fun way to jazz up your makeup this new year.

Here are the lucky colours that Singaporean Feng Shui Master, Master Alvin Sai of MZ玄 Fengshui Mastery, advises for each zodiac sign. Find yours and give yourself the excuse to start shopping for new makeup!

Rat: Black, Orange, and Purple

(2020, 2008, 1996, 1984, 1972, 1960, 1948)

Reach for an eyeshadow palette like ColourPop In A Trance eyeshadow palette (S$19.33, ~RM63.48) that features baby lilacs shades. You’ll get matte finishes, as well as chrome and pressed glitters so you can experiment with flashier looks.

For the lippie, we’re thinking of a soft gradient look so everyone sees you can have a nice transition from your eye makeup to your pout.

Gucci Rouge De Beaute Brillant Lipstick in shade #307 Louise Orange (S$51, ~RM167.49) is an alluring muted orange that will make you feel so luxurious. Dab the lippie on the centre of your lips to create a seamless gradient.

Ox: Beige, White, and Green

Every time we suggest green as an eyeshadow colour, most tend to shy away and shut the suggestion down. Get rid of the stigma you have against green eyeshadow and hear us out.

Sweep a beige eyeshadow over your lid as a base. Afterwards, take a dense brush and dab some green eyeshadow along your upper eyelid.

Tiger: Black, Pink, and Beige

You can never go wrong with pink eyeshadow. A simple pink palette like the Morphe 9P Petal Passion Artistry Palette (RM70) has variations of pink for you to create a sweet look for your eyes.
