Sunscreen is a fundamental skincare step as it not only prevents ageing and sunspots, but also reduces the risk of sunburn and cancer.

But what usually happens is that we often put on sunscreen in the morning, then totally forget about reapplying throughout the day. Regardless of SPF value, sunscreen usually lasts about two hours or so, so this certainly not good news for our skin.

Not every sunscreen is the same too, as some need a lesser amount of time before reapplication. So, when exactly should we reapply our sunscreen?

What if we told you that there are UV stickers that show you exactly when you should reapply your sunscreen?

Just slap a sticker onto your skin where it’s exposed to the sun. Then, cover it with sunscreen and wait 30 seconds for it to absorb.

The next step is to expose the sticker to sunlight as it should turn clear after one minute or so. This shows that you’re fully protected from the sun. Yay!

As you’re going about your day, check on the sticker from time to time. When the sticker has turned purple, it means you’ll need to slather on that sunscreen.

You can keep using the same sticker throughout the day. There’s no need to take it off and put on a new one. It’s that easy.

These stickers were developed by Canadian brand SPOTMYUV. The stickers have a patented SPF sensing layer, with UV sensing ink that turns purple in UV light.

No worries about it irritating your skin too as its clinically proven, dermatologist and paediatrician tested, hypoallergenic certified, and latex free.

You can also wear it for a day filled with lots of outdoor activities without problem, as it’s also water resistant, sweat resistant, and towel resistant.

We can imagine how useful these stickers can be in sunny Malaysia, so we’re going to do whatever we can to stock up!

The SPOTMYUV 16-Pack UV Stickers retail for US$14.99 (~RM65.35) on Amazon. However, it unfortunately does not ship to Malaysia.
