When it comes to beauty, actress Hannah Delisha has long been admired for her radiant skin. But her journey to achieving healthy skin hasn’t always been smooth.
In fact, it was a mix of personal trial and error, professional guidance, and a desire to educate others that shaped her philosophy on skincare.
Today, she’s using her platform to highlight the importance of understanding your skin—and why access to dermatologist-led care matters more than ever.

Hannah Delisha, Redefining Healthy Skin in Her Own Terms

For Hannah, the definition of healthy skin goes far beyond appearances. While flawless skin may dominate social media feeds, she believes real skin health is about comfort and resilience.
“Healthy skin is skin that feels at peace — comfortable in its own texture, whether that means a little shine or some pigmentation. It’s not about perfection, but about balance.
Especially in our humid climate, that balance can be tricky, but when your skin is hydrated and protected, it shows.”
In Malaysia’s hot and often unforgiving weather, maintaining that kind of balance can feel like a daily challenge. But Hannah emphasises that understanding what your skin needs, rather than chasing after trends, is the key to lasting results.
She Learned Lessons the Hard Way
Everyone’s skincare journey looks a little different, but for Hannah, it started with trial, error, and a lot of irritated skin.
“Oh, I learned the hard way!” she admits. “Early in my career, I’d pile on products hoping for quick fixes, only to end up with irritated, unhappy skin.”

Like many of us, Hannah believed that the more products she used, the better her skin would be. But instead of glowing results, she was met with redness, sensitivity, and frustration. That turning point pushed her to pause, rethink her routine, and actually tune in to what her skin was trying to tell her.
“It wasn’t until I slowed down and focused on what my skin actually needed [such as] gentle care, hydration, and sun protection, [and] those things turned around,” she explains.

That shift in mindset didn’t just improve her complexion—it completely changed the way she viewed skincare. Now, her approach is all about keeping things simple, effective, and tailored to her skin’s real needs, a reminder that sometimes, less really is more.
Consistency is Key
One of the biggest lessons Hannah learned was the importance of maintaining a consistent skincare routine, even on the busiest days.

“Consistency is key,” she says. “Even on my busiest days, I never skip cleansing and sunscreen. I also keep hydrating mists and a good moisturiser in my bag—our air-conditioned sets can be brutal! The goal is to keep my skin calm and protected, no matter what the day throws at me.”
“A gentle cleanser, a hydrating serum, and sunscreen are my non-negotiables,” she shares. If her skin is feeling extra stressed, she reaches for something soothing, like a cream with panthenol or ceramides. And of course, lip balm—because dry lips are never an option.
For Hannah, sunscreen is non-negotiable, and it’s a habit she wishes she’d picked up sooner. “Sunscreen. Every. Single. Day. I used to think it was only for beach days, but our UV index here is no joke. Now, it’s as automatic as brushing my teeth,” she explains.
The Moment Hannah Fell in Love with Skincare
When asked if there was a defining moment that ignited her passion for skincare, Hannah recalls a powerful turning point in her journey.
“Definitely. I remember a time when my skin was so sensitive that even water stung. A dermatologist recommended a minimalist approach with barrier-repairing products, and it changed everything.”
That advice didn’t just bring relief — it sparked something much bigger.
“I was lucky to have a great dermatologist who explained things in a way that made sense,” she adds. “That experience made me passionate about sharing how simple, science-backed skincare can make a huge difference.”
It was this mix of expert guidance and personal trial that shaped Hannah’s perspective on skincare.
Skincare Shouldn’t Be Intimidating, According to Hannah
As a skincare advocate, Hannah believes that taking care of your skin shouldn’t feel overwhelming or exclusive. That’s why she’s passionate about making skincare education more accessible and approachable for everyone.

Recently, she’s teamed up with La Roche-Posay on a nationwide initiative focused on bridging the skincare gap — a mission that aims to provide more people with access to dermatologist-recommended products and reliable information.
Her advocacy is rooted in real-life experiences. “I’m honest about my mistakes — like over-exfoliating or skipping sunscreen — because I want others to avoid those pitfalls,” she shares.
“Now, I focus on empowering people with knowledge, like how to read labels or why dermatologist-recommended ingredients matter,” she explains.
At the end of the day, her goal is clear: to take the fear and confusion out of skincare.
A Mission to Make Dermatologist-Approved Products Available to All

Hannah’s passion for skincare advocacy shines through as she works to bring accessible, dermatologist-approved products to more people.
“Incredibly rewarding,” she says of her work. “Everyone deserves to feel confident in their skin, and that starts with access to the right information and products.”
Hannah believes that initiatives like free skin checks and affordable products can be game-changers, helping people make informed choices about their skincare.
