Hong Hyun Jeong (@hongsmakeuplay), a renowned professional makeup artist in Seoul, recently broke down the signature looks of three Korean celebrity icons.
Hong analysed three Korean makeup combinations from K-pop stars, sharing expert recommendations on the best products to recreate these stunning styles!
Here’s a look at her insights:
Jisoo’s Romantic Glow: Blush + Lips

Known for her ethereal beauty, Jisoo’s makeup focuses on a delicate flush and perfectly tinted lips that radiate freshness and youth.
Hong came across this stunning image of Jisoo at Paris Fashion Week, where she wore a simple yet ethereal makeup look. Her nude lips are subtly rich, capturing the perfect balance of photogenic and natural beauty.
To create this flawless look, Hong recommended the beauty products below.
Dior Addict Lipstick (463 Dior Ribbon) – A moisturising lipstick with a warm dried rose shade.
AMUSE Dew Balm (06 Dew Rose) – A soft, vibrant pink balm with a moisturising finish that mirrors the fresh, wearable tone of Dior Ribbon, delivering a rich yet subtle pop of colour to the lips. Though the formula is similar to Dior’s Ribbon shade, it’s slightly watery, Hong claimed.
Dior Rouge Blush (212 Tutu) – A soft pink blush that has a light pink undertone with glitter particles in it. It adds a natural, romantic flush to the cheeks, brightening the overall complexion.
HOLIKA HOLIKA My Fave Piece Eyeshadow (Chew) – Though this is an eyeshadow, it has a similar shade to the Dior blush. However, this is a little bit more pinky.
Pro Tip: With just a touch of blush and a slightly more vibrant lip, this simple makeup look is enhanced with a bit of mascara and eyeliner to give the eyes a pop of definition.
Jung Eun-chae: Flawless, Porcelain Skin and Minimalist Glam

Hong has worked with Jung Eun-chae before and she’s always admired the actress’s jade-like, radiant skin and exotic beauty.
However, in a recent Clé de Peau Beauté photoshoot, Jung Eun-chae’s complexion looked even more flawless—her skin was pearly white, luminous, and absolutely captivating.
To achieve this stunning look, Hong recommends these key products:
Voile Crème Correcteur by Clé de Peau Beauté – A correcting cream that doubles as a tone-up cream. It features a subtle skin-tone shade with a hint of flesh-tone warmth and provides a soft, natural glow while beautifully evening out the skin tone.
Hong shared that it provides just the right amount of luminosity without looking greasy or overly dewy. If you’re worried about sun protection, though, you’ll need to pair this product with sunscreen as it offers only a slight 25 PA++ UV protection.
Clé de Peau Beauté Pressed Powder – Known as one of the best powders, its fine particle texture is enriched with moisture and nutrients, blending seamlessly into the skin without feeling rough.
ABOUT TONE Blur Powder Pact (Fair) – A nice light texture powder that blends seamlessly into the skin, brightening up your complexion without feeling heavy. It might not be as luxurious as Cle de Peau Beaute’s powder, but it’s perfect for a soft, radiant finish.
Pro Tip: Hong suggests keeping your makeup minimal. Groom the brows, add a little blush, and apply a nude lip to keep things clean and fresh. You can also add a sheer, natural-toned lipstick to complete the effortless glow. The whole goal here is to make your skin the star of the show.
Nana: Bold, Hip, and Modern Beauty

Next is the ever-stylish Nana, famed for her sleek and modern beauty. While her bold new hairstyle has been turning heads, it was her makeup in a recent pictorial that truly caught Hong’s attention.
Nana’s look featured naturally defined brows, soft mascara, and a subtle blush for a fresh finish. Her lips showcased a vibrant, natural red—often called the “rabbit tongue lip.”
What stood out most to Hong was the shimmering highlighter in the inner corners of her eyes, adding a trendy, radiant pop. Though the exact product remains a mystery, its impact was undeniable!
Here’s what Hong suggests to recreate this look:
Chanel Illuminating Powder – Think of this as a luxurious highlighter from Chanel. Its texture is incredibly dense, offering a transparent pigmentation that sparkles like the Milky Way. Infused with cool-toned pearls in shades of white, blue, and purple, it delivers a radiant, multidimensional glow.
ORFA Highlighter (Space Baby) – This highlighter offers an intense blue-toned glow, ideal for clubbing or night-time glam. Its texture is more granular compared to Chanel, but it still delivers a shimmering, bold blue hue that’s perfect for standing out.
Rom&nd (Mellow Sugar & Juicy Fig) and Heart Percent Lip Liner – To achieve the perfect “rabbit tongue lip” look, Hong recommends using this as the base colour for a natural finish, then layer Juju Fig on top for a pop of colour in the center of your lips.
To define the edges, use a lip liner from Heart Percent. For that glossy, wet look, finish off with BEIGIC Lip Balm for an ultra-shiny, almost drenched effect. This combination gives a fresh, full lip that’s both natural and striking.
