Located at the bustling Johor Bahru City Centre mall, Perky Lash’s new outlet is like a cosy oasis amidst the hustle and bustle. It’s perfect for squeezing in some pampering during your lunch break or while out shopping. Though the space is small, it’s incredibly inviting, setting the stage for a truly relaxing experience where you can unwind completely.
We decided to give their LED Lash Extension a try, which offers a twist on the traditional lash extension services. Intrigued? Keep reading as we share our complete and honest reviews.
What Are LED Lash Extensions?

LED lash extensions revolutionises the traditional eyelash extension methods by minimising risks associated with traditional lash glue, particularly cyanoacrylate-based adhesives. Cyanoacrylate, often found in lash glue, emits fumes that could potentially cause irritation, which may not be ideal for those with sensitive skin.
By utilising LED light, the extensions are instantly cured upon application, resulting in reduced discomfort and redness. Additionally, these extensions last 20 to 30% longer, meaning you don’t need to schedule regular touch-up sessions.

During the consultation, the lash artist, Jenny took the time to carefully analyse my eye shape and natural lashes.
Given that I already had long natural lashes, she suggested opting for a more natural extension style that’ll compliment my natural lashes.
She presented me with samples of both the Single Lash Extension and the Twinning Lash Extension looks, explaining how each would enhance my lashes with a natural-style appearance. After considering her recommendations, I decided to opt for the Twinning Lash Extension.

The process began with a meticulous cleansing of my natural lashes. Using some water and a gentle soap solution, the lash artist meticulously removed any lingering oils, dirt, or makeup residue.
This step is crucial as it helps remove residue, such as oil, dirt, and makeup, making the application process smoother and more effective.
Next, the lash artist applied an eye mask to keep the delicate under-eye area comfortably hydrated throughout the session. Following this pampering step, the lash artist then proceeded to apply a primer to my natural lashes, prepping them for the lash extension application.
Once the primer sets, she began to carefully bond the lash extensions to my natural lashes using a specially crafted LED eyelash gel glue and a Luminous LED Light. By combining LED Eyelash gel glue and LED light, it creates an almost instant bond between the Eyelash Extensions and the natural lashes, ensuring a secure hold with the glue curing within two to five seconds.
Throughout the procedure, the lash artist regularly checked in with me to ensure I was comfortable and didn’t experience any uncomfortable sensations such as itchiness or irritation to my eye. The process was so relaxing that I didn’t even feel like I was getting an extension done.
The entire process took about an hour and a half, which didn’t feel that long.
According to Jenny, their LED Lash Extensions will last for six to eight weeks, unlike traditional lash extensions which typically last for only four to six weeks. After this period, you’re advised to return for a touch-up.
Perky Lash LED Lash Extensions Review: What Was the Verdict?
Initially I was afraid that it might look too dramatic as I have never tried out lash extensions before. But after the session, I loved how the lash extension made me look. It truly enhanced my overall look which I was pleasantly surprised by as I never knew lash extension can make such a significant difference. It added a subtle yet striking allure to my eyes, giving me a newfound confidence that I didn’t know I was missing.
Plus, it’ll save me a lot of time in the morning as I can skip my eyeliner and mascara.
It was a wonderful experience, and now I’m confident about how lash extensions enhance my look. I’ll definitely be returning for future sessions and would recommend Perky Lash eyelash extensions to anyone interested in trying out this beauty service.
