Hair colouring shampoo is a fabulous and easy way to get your hair colour back without having to head back to the salon and undergo another expensive treatment.
Have you ever dyed your hair a fun colour like blue, purple, or pink? It always looks good when you’ve just stepped out of the salon, but quickly loses its vibrance after a couple of weeks or so.
This recently happened to us, so we’ve been searching high and low for ways we can revive the gorgeous colours our tresses used to have, and we may have finally found the perfect solution.
In this article, we’ll go through exactly what is a hair colouring shampoo, how to use it, and the best hair colouring shampoos.
What is a hair colouring shampoo?
Hair colouring shampoos have pigments of hair colour deposited into the shampoo. These pigments are quite strong, almost like a semi-permanent hair dye.
Not only are they a more affordable option compared to hair dye, but they’re also quick and easy as applying shampoo to your head.
The only downside is that you can only use them if you’ve already lightened your hair and won’t do much to natural black tresses.
How to use hair colouring shampoo?
It is generally recommended to use gloves while you’re handling hair colouring shampoo, as the colour might stain your skin and nails, but can differ from product to product.
What you want to do is wet your hair and squeeze out the excess water. Then, pump out the hair colouring shampoo and massage it thoroughly into your hair, so there’ll be no missing patches.
After that, wait for the colour to soak into your hair for five to 20 minutes, depending on the level of vibrance you want to add.
Rinse out the shampoo until the water runs clear, follow up with your regular conditioner, and enjoy your new, gorgeous hair colour.
