What is a face mist
A face mist is a product that you spray on your face to deliver instant hydration when you need to, and usually suitable for every skin type.
Every face mist is formulated differently and just like every skincare product, has different benefits that it provides other than the basic hydration.
Some have additional benefits like calming stressed skin, preventing the appearance of signs of ageing, and controlling oil production. You can therefore capitalise on this extra step in your routine for an extra skincare boost.
When to use a face mist
Face mists are not the same as moisturisers; instead of applying it every morning and night, you can spray your face mist anytime during the day for that boost of extra moisture.
They can also be great to lift your mood and make you feel refreshed especially during a hot day. Just imagine that quenching spritz of fresh liquid right after a long workout!

Face mist after makeup
While some people may use face mists as a setting spray for makeup, they don’t actually help to increase the length of wear because they are totally different products.
That’s not to say you can’t use a face mist after makeup. By all means, go for it as it may give you a glowing and dewy finish.

13. MAC Cosmetics Fix+ Setting Spray Magic Radiance – Moisturizing Skin Mist

We like how lightweight this formula is, and how it also contains vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, and essential oils for that extra glow and nourishment.

We’ve talked about how much we love this facial mist in our empties of 2021 article, but we’ll reiterate how much we love this product now.

17. Sephora Collection Beauty Amplifier Set & Refresh Spray
We find Sephora Collection products in general to be pretty good, and this lemon and peppermint scented spray is one of them.
You can either mist this over your face as a finishing touch after makeup or use it as a hydrating touch-up throughout the day. Sephora recommends spraying it directly on an eye brush before picking up an eyeshadow to make the colour last longer.

This face mist is targeted toward enhancing your mood with its fragrances. Spritz it on your face or skin for an instant pick-me-up throughout the day.

19. Temyracle All Over Mist Sugarush
Local brand Temyracle released a collection of mists suitable for “all over” the body, hence the naming. Formed with alcohol denat, water, and fragrance, this is a simple yet sweet mist.
The scent Sugarush will flood you with floral scents accompanied by delicious hints of cotton candy and chewing gum that will bring you back to your childhood.

20. Too Faced Hangover 3-in-1 Primer & Setting Spray
This weightless, three-in-one face mist uses coconut water to prime, set, and refresh makeup while keeping skin hydrated.
Simply shake the product well and hold it six to eight inches away from your face before spraying it onto your skin to brighten and smoothen it.
